It's been a very heavy week. One that I've had a hard time understanding as I'm sure so many of you, too. With a strong belief in my faith and Jesus, I know that Charlie is with our Heavenly Father and is looking over us now. While that does not take away the pain of this loss, I find peace knowing he is with our Lord and Savior.
When I wrote the Guardian necklace card I was thinking of my mom. Another beautiful human taken from this earth too soon. At age 45 and filled with love, life and faith, her body was ravaged by cancer, and her time here on earth was done. It was devastating to me, a young 15-year-old who held my mom in the highest regard. She was my best friend.
There’s a place above the sky
where angels spread their wings far and wide.
A place where their purpose is
to protect, guide and show us
there will always be a path of greatness ahead.
When you sport this necklace,
understand these wings are a sign
of freedom, spirituality and love.

My mom is my inspiration for all the words I write. She's my "WHY" for stringing words together to tell a story, fill you with light and make you believe you can do anything. I believe Charlie was here for the same reasons. He was a voice for our country, God, and our moral compass on earth. Regardless of the imaginary side you're on, we must remember that we are ALL HUMAN. We all want the same things in life: love, justice, equality, community, and safety. These are basic human needs. We never have to agree with one another, but we absolutely need to respect each other. This is what I believe is missing in our society. When we respect each other's views, we become better as a people. Learning and growing from one another.
In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity. Titus 2:7
Thank you for being here. I love you. We need you and I hope you continue to be bold, live loud and spread love around like glitter! We need it to stick to everything it touches! 🥰
